In this project, I was tasked with creating a model to explain the DIN system. I designed a model with an optical illusion, where from a distance, we can see the A0 format, but up close, we can see the other formats.
The DIN system, short for Deutsches Institut für Normung (German Institute for Standardization), is an international standard for paper sizes, primarily used in Europe. It includes various paper sizes, such as A0, A1, A2, and so on. A0 is the largest size, with a surface area of 1 square meter, and each subsequent size is half the area of the previous one. This system is known for its simplicity and consistency, making it widely used in design and printing throughout Europe and beyond.
